I just finished wtiahcng today's council meeting online and was shocked to see that Ms. Roche continues the City's practice of publicly attacking residents who dare to speak out the City. One would hope that our Council would have learned from the Johnson/Libby debacle that attacking residents is NOT appropriate, but Ms. Roche makes it clear that she for one still doesn't get it. Resident Bradley's comments are correct. Many of us are frustrated and outraged by the decisions and now, deceit that Ms. Roche and some of her fellow councilmembers have displayed. They ignore resident comments, make false statements to the residents, and then wonder why many of us aren't happy with their style of governance. Perhaps Ms. Roche should take a look at the front page of the Desert Sun from the past few days to see who is causing the embarrassment to our City? Perhaps she should look in the email outbox of our current City Manager to see who is sending out nasty and unprofessional emails? Or perhaps she should just take a hard look in the mirror before she attacks another resident?I, for one, hope that the residents who have been attacked continue to exercise their constitutional right to speak up and bring up issues of concern. And I hope that Ms. Roche will someday learn to respect that right.JB
